Deep Resilience & Inner Adaptation: Working with Climate Anxiety and Eco-Grief

In person at the Georgia Climate Conference 2023 in Athens, GA.

This is a space to connect with others to begin to metabolize and integrate our shared reality. It is an opportunity to come together to deepen our capacity for resilience and creativity in these difficult times. It is also a chance to explore what inner adaptation looks and feels like.

Based on deep ecology and systems theory, this experiential workshop is rooted in the teachings of Joanna Macy, and over four decades of community work with thousands of people around the world. It is designed to help you prevent burnout and continue your important work in the world with renewed energy and purpose.

RESTORATIVE CORE: A Grounding Exploration of the Seven Segments, for Core Energetics Practitioners

Join Karin Knoblich and Janna Diamond this fall as we awaken our energy and liberate our bodies through slow, organic movement and breath. We’ll meet to resource ourselves in the company of supportive colleagues, each time focused on a specific body segment which we’ll invite to integrate into the whole.

Holding our clients and ourselves in such challenging times, we need spaces to co-regulate our nervous systems and allow connection and pleasure to nourish us. This restorative practice is designed for this, and to soothe the places in us needing comfort and relief.

Together, let’s tap into the collective energy and body of wisdom each one of us brings, and feel held in the grounding embrace of our community.

Some items to bring or have nearby: A yoga mat and blanket, a bolster or firm pillow, massage balls, roller or foam roller.

Dates: Mondays, September 19, October 3, 17, 31, November 14, 28, December 12

Tending to Our Climate Grief: A Practice for Shmita & Solstice
